This Privacy Policy ("Policy") is published by S & S Associates, a tax, compliance and advisory firm having its place of business at Ashok Nagar, Medahalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India ("S&S Associates", "we", "us", "our"), in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDPA"), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder, including the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, to the extent applicable.
This Policy applies to your use of our website, s-and-s-associates.in ("the Website"), and describes what personal data the Website collects — principally through our contact/enquiry form — why, where it goes, and the rights available to individuals whose personal data we process ("Data Principals" under the DPDPA).
This Policy does not govern S&S Billing Suite, our separate downloadable software product. If you download and use that software, its collection and use of data is governed by a separate, more detailed Billing Suite Privacy Policy, not this one.
2.1 Contact / Enquiry Form
When you voluntarily submit our contact form (including via "Book a Consultation" or "Download" call-to-action buttons that lead to it), we collect the information you provide: your full name, email address, phone number, company name, the service(s) you're interested in, and any message you write. This is sent directly from your browser to a private Google Sheet, accessible only to S&S Associates, via a server-side script we operate. We do not use this data for any purpose other than responding to your enquiry and, if you engage us, administering that engagement.
Purpose: responding to your enquiry, scheduling a consultation, and — if you become a client — administering our professional engagement with you.
Legal basis: your consent in submitting the form, and steps taken at your request prior to entering into a professional engagement.
2.2 Technical / Log Data
Like most websites, ours is served through a hosting provider (Vercel) that may automatically log standard technical information for security and operational purposes — such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested. We do not access or use these logs for tracking or profiling individuals.
2.3 No Analytics or Advertising Trackers
We do not run analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or any third-party tracking on this Website, and we do not set any cookies beyond what a browser may use natively to render the page. The only outbound request the Website makes to a third party, other than submitting the contact form, is loading typefaces from Google Fonts (see 2.4).
2.4 Google Fonts
This Website loads typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). Loading a font causes your browser to make a direct request to Google's servers, which may log your IP address under Google's own privacy practices. We do not control, and are not responsible for, this collection — see Google's own privacy policy for details.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any party for marketing purposes.
Google and Vercel may store or process data on servers located outside India. To the extent the DPDPA restricts or conditions transfer of personal data outside India, S&S Associates relies on these providers' respective data-processing terms and safeguards, and will comply with any country-specific restrictions notified by the Central Government under the DPDPA as and when applicable.
Contact form submissions are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, for the duration of our engagement and any period required thereafter for legal, accounting, or regulatory record-keeping purposes.
In respect of personal data we process about you, you may, subject to verification of identity:
Request access to, and a summary of, the personal data we hold about you and its processing;
Request correction or updating of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
Request erasure of personal data that is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, subject to any legal or contractual retention requirement;
Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before such withdrawal;
Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity;
Register a grievance with us in the first instance, as described in Section 9 below, and thereafter with the Data Protection Board of India, if the grievance is not resolved satisfactorily.
The Website is served over HTTPS. Contact form submissions are handled through Google's own infrastructure, subject to Google's security practices, and stored in a Google Sheet accessible only to S&S Associates' authenticated Google account. We take reasonable measures to protect the personal data we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
The Website is intended for business and professional use by adults. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from, children.
